Our Wedding

Unsurprising to anyone who knows them, Cassie and Bobby met at Katy Trail Ice House. They were introduced by her cousin, Nick Martin, who was also Bobby’s longtime friend and bartender. True to form, Nick took his sweet time making the introduction. Over the next two years, they fell in love sitting at the bar, talking, laughing, watching football, and sharing plenty of beers and margaritas.

Kicking things off Texas style. Attire: Cowboy ChicBoots, hats, and jeans encouraged. There will be activities to enjoy in throughout the evening. If themes aren't your thing, we'll take you however we can get you.

Saturday, December 12 - Wedding Day

Our wedding will be a formal affair. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie or a tuxedo, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. Winter colors encouraged. The wedding party will be dressed in brown. Ladies, as always, please refrain from wearing white throughout the weekend.

You can reach her at 254-918-2520. Please do not call her before June 1, 2026, she will not accept reservations before that date. The rates for our wedding weekend are significantly reduced from the current posted website rates for the wedding, but please check out their website to see what type of rooms (and houses) are available. Rooms will be booked on a first come, first served basis. Your room includes breakfast each morning. You are welcome to come early or stay longer than the specified check in/out dates, just let Angela know when booking.

The following activities are at an additional cost and reservations are required. We recommend you make reservations for these activities by December 5, 2026. However, you may be able to schedule activities upon arrival depending on availability. To make reservations, call 254-918-2509 or go to the Beretta Room when you arrive at Rough Creek Lodge. Off Property Activities and Sites

A quick 20 minute drive away from Rough Creek Lodge is an incredibly fun drive thru safari adventure! Fossil Rim is where Africa comes to Texas. The 1,800-acre facility offers a 7.2-mile scenic drive where you can interact with approximately 1,100 exotic and endangered animals roaming free in herds. Drive through in your car to see 50-plus species of wild animals including cheetahs, wolves, giraffes, rhinos, and more. It is open 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM and is a self-paced journey (but takes approximately two hours to tour). To gain admission to Fossil Rim, we recommend you purchase tickets in advance online. Go to fossilrim.org and click the TICKETS button at the top. All guests will need to select the day of their visit and a window of time in which they will arrive.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Fun for all ages! Long ago, dinosaurs left footprints in the mud at the edge of an ancient ocean. Today, you can walk in their tracks in the bed of the Paluxy River. Find dinosaur tracks, camp, picnic, hike, mountain bike, swim, fish and paddle in the river, watch for wildlife, look for a geocache, ride your horse, or visit our interpretive center.

Friday, December 11

All guests arrive at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose, Texas. Check-in begins at 3 PM, but we would love for you to come as early as you would like so we can greet you and let you enjoy all of the activities and accommodations on property! Feel free to leave your bags in your vehicle or at the front desk then explore all that Rough Creek Lodge has to offer. Check out the "Things To Do" tab with more information on activities! There is plenty of convenient parking onsite when you arrive. Keep your eye out for our wedding weekend packet pre-set in your room when you check in! Our Welcome Party begins at 8:00 PM. Pull up your boot straps and join us at the Pickleball Courts for drinks, nibbles, and activities to kick off the best weekend of our lives! Check out the "attire" tab for details!

Saturday, December 12

It's Wedding Day!!! Breakfast will be served in the Main Lodge in the Chalk Mountain Room from 8:00-11:00 AM, eat at your leisure. Complimentary breakfast is included in your room stay. Get out and enjoy everything the beautiful Texas Hill Country has to offer! Relax at the spa, go off-road adventuring, fish down at the pond, horseback ride up to Gunn Mountain, zip-line over the resort, or enjoy your latest read on the porch with the best cup of coffee in Texas! There are also some fun sites to see off property- check out the "Things To Do" tab for more information. Lunch is served in the Main Lodge from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. This meal is optional and is not included in your stay - but it is delicious! Other food options will be found off property. LET'S GET MARRIED! There will be a shuttle to drive you from the Main Lodge to the Chalk Mountain Chapel on property. Please be waiting out front of the main lodge beginning at 3:30 PM sharp for transportation. The shuttle will also take you back to the Main Lodge once the cocktail hour ends so the celebrations can begin! The ceremony starts at 4:15 PM. If you miss the shuttle or arrive later than 4:15 PM, please kindly find your seat in one of the back pews as not to disrupt the ceremony. Don't forget to join us for the "After Party" back at the Pavilion following the reception from 11:00pm-1:00am. Transportation will be provided to and from the Pavillion.

Sunday, December 13

Please join us from 8:00 -11:00 AM for a hosted send-off brunch in the Main Lodge! We would love nothing more than to get to spend extra time with each and every one of you before we say our goodbyes! Check-out is at 12PM. But please feel free to check out of your room, drop bags at the front desk (or in your vehicle), and stick around to enjoy the property and any activities before you hit the road! We will be there all day!
